Faculty and chairs
The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO has 3 chairs, conducting research into separate business sectors:
The MasterCard Chair for Finance, Payments and E-commerce
In September 2013 the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and multinational financial services provider MasterCard signed an agreement to establish and finance the chair. The chair’s agenda is spelled out in three spheres: creating educational models and developing cases for use in the school’s current programs, research on the Russian market and consulting.

Appointed as chair head is Evgeny Plaksenkov, Russian expert in finance, corporate management and the venture business, and an independent board of directors’ member at MIEL Holding and HALS-Development JSC.
B&N Bank Chair of Strategic Marketing
The Chair was launched in Spring 2016 with support of B&N Bank. The Chair's long-term goal is to create a centre of expertise in strategic marketing, which will collaborate with Russian companies, as well as public administrative bodies and non-profit organisations. The Chair will start its activities with expert support of B&N BANK in matters of consumer behaviour trends in the field of financial services. In the future we plan strategic partners from the FMCG, retail, telecommunications, and other sectors to be engaged in collaboration. The short-term objectives, which the Chair aims to reach by the end of 2016, are to develop a research agenda, to write cases to be integrated into the educational process, to develop a thematic content for the educational programmes of the SKOLKOVO Business School, and to create a pool of academic and practising experts to be involved in the programmes and projects implemented by the Chair.
The head of the Chair is Kirill Obukh, head of marketing projects with more than 20 years of experience.
The Zimin Chair for Entrepreneurial Leadership
The Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and Zimin Family Trust established by Dmitry Zimin, Founder and Honoured president of Vimpelkom, in February 2012 signed a deal on creation and financing of Zimin chair for entrepreneurial leadership.

The chair is headed by Alexey Komissarov – Director of the Industry Development Fund, Russian entrepreneur, former Advisor of the Mayor of Moscow. Mr. Komissarov worked at senior positions at the Moscow City Goverment. He obtained his МВА at Kingston University (Great Britain) and lectured the course "Entrepreneurship" within the joint МВА program of Kingston University and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
The Project Management Chair
In 2012 the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and the Technology Company Schlumberger, LLC signed a deal on creation and financing of an endowed the Project Management Chair.
The Project Management Chair supports SKOLKOVO educational programmes, as well as creates opportunities to develop integrated corporate executive education programmes having project management as their core.
The Project Management Chair is the centre of expertise, consulting and methodology design in Project Management at the business school.

The Leadership Chair

The chair is headed by Pierre Casse, a full-time Professor of Leadership at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. He is also Professor of Leadership at the Steinbeis University (Germany), the IEDC-Bled (Slovenia), the IAE University Aix-en-Provence (France) and e Kellogg Graduate School of Management (USA) and other world’s leading business schools. He is the Dean Emeritus of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
His areas of interest include organizational behavior, the global market and cultural differences, international negotiations and strategic leadership. Pierre Casse has published more than 10 books on multicultural management, leadership, intercultural negotiations, philosophy and business, including Philosophy for Creative Leadership published in 2007). He serves as a consultant to many multinational companies and is the CEO of Business Innovation Network (BIN-Switzerland).

The Chair is headed by Moty Cristal, Professor of Professional Practice in Negotiation Dynamics at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. Moty Cristal is a professional negotiator and one of the leading Israeli experts in negotiations. For many years he had represented the interested of Israeli side: he served as Deputy Head of the Negotiation Management Centre at former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak's office and played a part in both the Camp David and Taba summits. He was responsible for the preparatory work, possible scenarios development and crisis analysis following the outbreak of violence in September 2000. This work resulted in the successful negotiation of the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem, conducted under the guidance of Cristal in 2002. Having had a brilliant career as one of Israeli leading experts on negotiation, Moti Cristal established NEST Consulting. The company's goal is to use Cristal’s unique method and successful negotiations experience in for the private sector.

Dr. Volkov is a recognized expert on higher education in Russia. He is also currently serving as an Advisor to the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, where he spearheaded an Expert Team that developed a program on reforming Russia’s higher education system. In 2006, he headed a group of experts from the G8 countries on Russia’s initiatives in education.

Andrei Volkov is a professional alpinist and the President of the Russian Mountaineering Federation. He climbed Mount Everest in 1992.
Jack Denfeld Wood
Professor of Management Practice at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS)
Professor Wood is Professor of Management Practice at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, China.
Research interests include leadership and team development, the role of ideology and the conscious and unconscious processes in small group decision-making. Professor Wood has authored and co-authored numerous academic and practitioner articles and book chapters, including The Merchandising of Leadership in The Next Generation Business Handbook: New Strategies from Tomorrow's Thought Leaders, as well as articles in Financial times, Perspectives for Managers, Business spectator, Tomorrow's challenges, and a series of articles about Doing Business in China in Forbes. He and his co-authors were recognized at the 2012 Annual Academy of Management Conference: Best paper in graduate management education award, for the most significant contribution to graduate management education, Also, 2011 Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings (winner of Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) and nominee for Carolyn Dexter Award.
After university he served for five years on active duty in the US Air Force as an officer, pilot and instructor pilot. He is an FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI). Following his PhD he spent one year as a post-doctoral fellow at the American Arbitration Association in Washington DC, and for twenty-five years he was a professor of Leadership at the International Management Development Institute (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and was formerly an Emeritus Professor. He has taught leadership and consulted to public and private sector organizations in Asia, India, Europe, North America and the Middle East. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Academy of Management (AOM), the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems (AKRI) and the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA, and the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). He is an accredited psychological analyst.
Professor Wood graduated in government from Colby College and gained an MA in social psychology at Syracuse University (US), an MA, MPhil and PhD in organizational behavior at Yale University (US), and a Diploma from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland.
Professor of General Management in CEIBS (China)
He is also a senior associate at Judge Business School and a senior member of Wolfson College of University of Cambridge (UK). He lectures on a multi-module cross-cultural management programme at Cambridge, currently taught in Italy, Switzerland and Cambridge. CEIBS has twice awarded him to the Outstanding Professor of the year.

Professor Goodall has provided training and consulting services for international companies such as KPMG, Deloitte, Bayer-Schering, Emirates Bank, Siemens, BASF, L'Oreal, Lufthansa German Airlines, Shell, Saudi Petromin, BP, Deutsche Bank, GE, Hewlett Packard, Maersk, Nestle, ENI, SAIC, Bank of China и China Life Insurance. He has also carried out training, research and consultancy work in Colombia, Australia, Zambia, Malawi, Nigeria, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Mozambique and Tunisia.
Professor Goodall has a BA degree from University of Nottingham, an MA degree from the University of Manchester, and a PhD from University of Cambridge (UK).
Professor of Project Management in the Cranfield School of Management (UK), CEO of project management consultancy company
Stephen Carver is repeatedly rated as one of the top lecturers at Cranfield and SKOLKOVO business schools. He has a reputation of taking complex management concepts and being able to distil them down, into highly informative and fun lectures – often using 'storytelling' techniques. He has spent most of his working life in real business and still undertakes management assignments for many Global organizations. Over the past year only he visited the UK, Holland, Germany, France, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia as a consultant and instructor.
Project management, crisis management, communication. His has published articles in Management Focus and Project Management Journal and coauthored FT Handbook of Management.
Stephen Carver is the founder of A.L.S. Consultants – a company providing project management services for major banks and law firms, many of which are on the FTSE-100 list. Prior to that he was responsible for strategic changes in a multinational corporation, was head of the Floating Harrods project for Virgin, and managed oil extraction projects in the North Sea at the time of the industry’s intensive development.
He has an MBA degree from Cranfield School of Management.
Professor of Leadership
Pierre Casse is a full-time Professor of Leadership at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. He is also Professor of Leadership at the IEDC-Bled School of Management (Leadership Chair -Slovenia), the IAE University Aix-en-Provence (France) and is Adjunct Professor of Management at the Kellogg School of Management (USA). He held the Suez Chair of Leadership at the Solvay Business School (ULB-Brussels) from 2004 to 2006. He was an IMD Professor from 1986 to 1994. He is the Dean Emeritus of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.

Professor in Negotiation Dynamics of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO
Moty Cristal is Professor of Professional Practice in Negotiation Dynamics of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. He also lectures on negotiations and civil crisis management at Tel Aviv University, the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy and the Arison Business School (Israel).

Moty Cristal is the founder and CEO of NEST Consulting and one of the leading Israeli experts in negotiations. He served as Deputy Head of the Negotiation Management Centre at former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak's office, wherein he engaged in negotiations with Palestine and Jordan and played a part in both the Camp David and Taba summits. He developed the Negosystem© model for negotiation systems.
Professor Cristal graduated from Bar-Ilan Law School (Israel) and Harvard Kennedy School of Government (US). He is currently completing his PhD at the London School of Economics (UK).
Head of the MasterCard Chair for Finance, Payments and E-commerce
Mr. Plaksenkov holds the position of independent director in the Board at "Gals-Development" company and “MIEL Holding Company”.
Evgeny Plaksenkov was born in Ulyanovsk, in 1966. In 1990, he graduated with honors from the Saint-Petersburg University of Economics and Finance specializing in economical cybernetics. He completed programmes and internships at the leading European business schools, such as: ESC-Lyon - Ecole Superior de Commerce (France), SDA Bocconi University (Italy), and Henley Management College (UK). He also completed postgraduate studies at the Saint-Petersburg University of Economics and Finance and an Executive MBA programme at the State University Higher School of Economics.
In the early 90s he became one of the first privatization consultants in Russia. He worked out and implemented over 20 incorporation plans for Russian enterprises. He was actively involved in the development of strategy, finance and human resources for Russian and Western companies, introducing innovative management methods.
From 1993 to 2002, he was Director of Corporate Programmes, professor and consultant at IMISP (International Management Institute of Sain-Petersburg).
From 2002 to 2004, Plaksenkov worked as HR Director at “OTIS Russia”. In 2004, he was appointed Financial Director of MIEL and in 2007- CEO of the “MIEL Holding Company”. Since 2009 he is a Board Member and Head of Board’s Strategic Planning Committee of the Holding. He is also the CEO of venture company RESII.
He is currently involved in the corporate management, venture business, research and coaching.
Evgeny has been giving master-classes on Corporate Finance and Business Planning at SKOLKOVO Executive Education programmes since 2009. In 2012 he was officially appointed SKOLKOVO Visiting Lecturer-Practitioner of Corporate Finance.
He went to the first line of AMR (Association of Managers of Russia) and "Kommersant" journal "Top-1000 Russian managers" ranking in "Professional services - financial director" nomination.
Professor of Operations Management at IESE Business School (Spain)
Jaume Ribera is a professor of operations management at IESE Business School (Spain), where he previously served as Deputy Dean of faculty, and holds the chair of logistics at CEIBS (China). He was awarded a Fulbright fellowship to pursue doctoral studies in the US. He is an associate professor at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain). He is also on the faculty of the Institute for Media and Entertainment (USA).
Operations improvement management, health systems management and project management. He has published numerous teaching materials and case studies on these topics. His articles have appeared in Transportation Science, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, etc.
Jaume Ribera consults private and public companies in supply chain management and project management. He has managed health sector projects in the EU, Central and Eastern Europe, and South America with private, public, European Union and World Bank financing. Jaume Ribera is the vice-president of the Board of Caixa Terrassa, a savings institution in Spain. He was the president of the European Operations Management Association and served as secretary of the U.S. Operations Management Association. He serves on the Editorial Boards of the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Harvard Business Review China, and International Commerce Review.
Prof. Ribera holds an M.Sc. in operations research and a Ph. D. in mathematical systems theory from the University of Florida (USA), and a doctorate in industrial engineering from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain).
Leading Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO
Elizabeth’s areas of expertise include Leadership, Organizational development, Change management, Performance and Talent management. Elizabeth Sadova is the author of several unique multi-module programmes on Leadership for HR directors and Top Executives of Russian and multinational companies.
Elizabeth successfully combines her professional management and international experience with her expertise in business education. For over 10 years, Elizabeth Sadova worked for CBSD/Thunderbird. Among her clients were such companies as Boeing, Caterpillar, Coca Cola, Danone, ExxonMobil, ТНК-BP, Hewlett Packard, Unilever, Сorning and others.
Since 2007 Elizabeth Sadova holds the position of an Academic Director for SKOLKOVO Executive Education Department. In this capacity, she has been working with such companies as Federal Grid Company, Gradient, Ratiopharm, Evraz Group and others.
Elizabeth Sadova also has many years of experience as an individual coach, working with top Executives of several International and Russian companies in the area of cross-cultural communication improvement, understanding of Russian business model, top team development, conflict management, relationship management. Among her clients: American Express, Corning, International Enterprise Singapore, Arcelor Mittal, Renaissance Insurance, Kaspersky Laboratories.
In addition to her pedagogical education she holds a number of International certificates from SDA Bocconi (Italy), MBTI certification by OPP Oxford (UK), certified in Leadership programmes and Organizational Management from California State University (USA), Thunderbird (USA), IMD (Switzerland), Training Management Corporation (USA).

Professor of Practice in Strategy and Corporate Transformations, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO
Andrei is a professor of practice, executive coach and manager with extensive work experience in leading international and Russian corporations. As the Senior Vice President of Marsh & McLennan Companies, he headed the Russian division of Marsh Risk Consulting until 2009. In 2009–2013, he was the Partner and General Director of the Russian office of Oliver Wyman.
A. Shishakov holds the highest corporate awards of Marsh Inc., namely the Alan Williamson Cup for outstanding achievements in business development (2006) and the Circle of Excellence Award by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Marsh Inc. (2007). In 2009, he received an award “For Personal Contribution to the Development of Risk Management in Russia” from the Russian Risk Management Society (RusRisk). In 2013, Andrei was named the best mentor of Oliver Wyman’s Russian office.
As a consultant and general director, A. Shishakov has conducted several successful full-scale corporate transformations, including the improvement of production takt time for the leading Russian aircraft manufacturer, the transformation of the design bureau into a lean design office for the leading oil machine builder, as well as the transformation of the NEO Centre Consulting Group in 2013–2014.
After graduation from Bauman Moscow State Technical University in 1993 and business and office internships in the USA, the UK, and France, Andrei received the qualification of an economist and an MBA degree from the Moscow International Higher Business School in 2002. In 2010, he completed (with honours) a training course under the International Compliance Professionals Programme at the Manchester School of Business.
Andrei is a member of the Steering Committee of the Russia Chapter of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA); previously, he was the Vice-President and member of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Risk Management Society (RusRisk). Since 2010, A. Shishakov has been an Honorary Member of the International Association of Risk and Compliance Professionals (IARCP) (the status is confirmed annually).
Andrei joined the SKOLKOVO team in 2015. Since that time he has developed a number of training courses and integrated corporate transformation programmes focused mostly on the personal development of participants, as well as on corporate transformation initiatives.

Project Management Professor of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO
George R. Sifri is a senior instructor/consultant with Educational Services Institute International. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing information technology projects. He worked with companies such as Motorola, HP, Dow Jones, BP, Peoplesoft, ABB, Eurotel, and Novartis. He delivered courses and lectures on the six continents of the world. He is also the author of tens of articles on project management.
Dr. Sifri has been working extensively with BP “Projects & Engineering College” since 2002. He has been the lead designer/developer for their flag ship courses “Project Management Essentials”, “Introduction to Project Management”, and “Project Management in Practice”. He is a subject matter reviewer for several of the other courses offered such as “Managing Risks in Projects”. He has been delivering courses for BP in UK, Singapore, China, Egypt, and USA for the last seven years.
Dr. Sifri is one of three instructors that delivers “Projects and Engineering the BPway” in Houston four times a year. As of today, more than 1,000 delegates have graduated from this two weeks residential highly intensive program.
Dr. Sifri has designed a fully integrated project management curriculum for Management Training and Development Centre in Warsaw, Poland. The curriculum covers all knowledge areas of project management.
Dr. Sifri has been working with ABB in Saudi Arabia for the last eight years. He has delivered several courses in project management and a customized course on “Site Management for Project Managers.”
Dr.Sifri is the main developer of training materials and exercises on project management for corporate programs of Moscow school of management SKOLKOVO, the ideologist of the methodology and professor who received the highest possible evaluation of the results of courses for SKOLKOVO corporate clients (Lukoil, Evraz, Novatek, Rosneft).
Dr. Sifri has a D.B.A. Dr. Sifri holds a Master’s Certificate in Project Management, a Master’s Certificate in Information Technology Project Management, and an Advanced Master’s Certificate in Project Management. Dr. Sifri holds a Master’s Certificate in Government Contract Management from the Defence Acquisition University. Dr. Sifri also holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a Certified Information System Auditor. He is a Certified Computer Professional. He holds the Project Management Professional certification. He is a Certified Cost Engineer, an Earned Value Professional, and a Certified Planning and Scheduling Professional. He is a certified Professional Manager. He is a certified Risk Manager Professional. He is also a member of several professional associations such as: Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineers; and International Who's Who of Professionals.
Head of the Schlumberger Project Management Chair at the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO
Earlier Jean-Marc worked in the role of Vice President on assets at BP’s beneficial operations business unit in the USA where he was responsible for the major assets portfolio, major capital expenses, assets portfolio management (real estate, technical services, object closure and construction). After that he was a member of the Board of Directors on operational activity of strategic alliance with Bovis Lend Lease.
He has occupied different top positions in Eastern Europe, Belgium and France and was responsible for strategic planning, real estate, construction, technical services and conclusion of deals on retail assets purchase.
Jean-Marc participated in strategic development and construction of a BP retail network of service stations in Moscow in the 1990s.
In June 2006 Jean-Marc was appointed Director of the MIT/BP Projects & Engineering Academy, and till 2012 he has controlled its research programme.
His career has started at Standard Oil Company (Ohayo) where he has been managing teams that occupied leading positions in the retail markets of Poland, Russian, other Eastern Europe countries and the US.
Jean-Marc is a graduate of the Project Academy’s fourth group (2005).
